        A local all male fife and drum band performing on the landing stage at Amboina in the Moluccas.  A group of youing boys in similar attire to the band are standing by the band and they may all be members of a youth group similar to the boy scouts.  An outrigger canoe and a motor boat licensed for a maximum of 10 persons are alongside the stage.  A pitched roof storehouse at the back of the wharf has the letter C on it.  The photographer is from the passenger cruise ship Franconia (1923) which is anchored in the roadstead.
