A part of the village of Balholm on the shore of Sognefjord, Norway. The photographer is on board a vessel in the fjord looking towards the shore showing the steamer landing stage on the left with a passenger excursion motor launch alongside a jetty adjacent to it. Two pairs of registered motor fishing vessels, one of which has the identification R-5-B on the bow, are moored in front of a building which has the name Meieri on the flank wall under the roof.
