By the harbour at Kavalla, Greece.
By the harbour at Kavalla, Greece. The photographer is looking east along the north quay showing a number of caiques berthed stern-on to the quay. Some of the caiques are drying their sails. The ground at the back of the quay is muddy and is occupied by a motor lorry, horse-drawn carts and a number of local people and tourists. The Akropoli Kavala is on top of the hill in the background. This town is variously spelt Kavalla, Kavala and Cavala.
