The canal on the north-east side of the island of Slotsholmen at Copenhagen, Denmark, looking south-east. A motor ketch named Marie, seen from off her starboard quarter, is berthed alongside the Ved. Stranden and ahead of her by the bridge is the Rasmus Nielsens Fiske-Auction hulk. The commercial premises by the side of the canal include the Hotel Carl Den XV, Nyhavn 17 and a building with Politike painted on the gable wall. A line of small cargo vessels is alongside the Island of Slotsholmen on the right.
