The market place on the bank of the Motlawa River at Danzig. The photographer is looking west-north-west across the river showing three motor fishing vessels alongside the quay. Funnel (fyke) nets are hanging up to dry. The buildings include the premises of Alfermann & Co., the Kaffe Ausschank und Schwanenturm, the Gasthaus Stadt London and Hermann Arndt. The brick-built circular Swan Tower with a cone-shaped tiled roof is in the centre.
