Sampans and small junks in Aberdeen harbour, Hong Kong
Sampans and small fishing junks in Aberdeen harbour, Hong Kong Island. The photographer is on the quayside looking across the harbour. Three of the sampans in the foreground are 1082V, 1705V and 2638V. Most of the junks have hoisted their nets to dry. A steam tug is under way in the middle of harbour approaching the shore. This negative was taken during a world cruise by the Cunard Line ship Franconia (1923).
