Ships Cover for the Insect class gunboats HMS Aphis (1915), HMS Bee (1915), HMS Cicala (1915), HMS Cockchafer (1915), HMS Cricket (1915), HMS Glowworm (1915), HMS Gnat (1916), HMS Ladybird (1915), HMS Mantis (1916), HMS Moth (1916), HMS Scarab (1915) and HMS Tarantula (1915). The documentation primarily comprises details of alterations and repairs to suit inter-War requirements, correspondence with the relevant contractors, reports of machinery trials, vessel condition and maintenance reports, schemes of complement and some documents relating to fittings. The earliest papers date from February 1915 and the bulk of the material relates to the early 1920s. A significant amount dated February 1938 covers changes to the crew complement of several members of the class, and the final papers date from November 1939.
