Ships Cover for HMS Swiftsure (1903) and HMS Triumph (1903)

Ships Cover for the Swiftsure class second class battleships HMS Swiftsure (1903) and HMS Triumph (1903). The documentation mainly comprises statements of dimensions and estimates of weights, details of armament and ammunition allowance, detailed descriptions of the ships as purchased, proposed alterations and additions, and details of those implemented, correspondence with the contractors, schemes of complement, reports of steaming and equipment trials, stability calculations, and vessel condition reports. The earliest papers date from November 1903 when the decision was made to purchase the ships and the last from June 1915, being a report on the loss of HMS Triumph in the Mediterranean.
