Boats drawn up on the foreshore at Larnaca, Cyprus.
Double-ended open boats drawn up on the foreshore at Larnaca, Cyprus. The photographer is looking south along the beach showing one of the nearest boats being numbered 31. The three boats in the background each have a single mast. Pineapple palms are in a line between the road and the beach. In the centre of the picture is the Bust of Kimon located on Phinikoudes Promenade. Also known as the Kimon Athenian Monument, it depicts the famous Athenian General Kimon (510 - 449 BCE), watching over the harbour.
