Shipping alongside the commercial wharves at Lisbon, Portugal.
Shipping alongside the commercial wharves at Lisbon, Portugal. The photographer is on board a passenger cruise ship in the tagus looking towards the city showing the passenger/cargo liner De La Salle (1921), seen from just abaft her starboard beam, alongside a wharf with 13 single masted sailing craft outboard of her laden with general cargo. On the right and seen from ahead of her port beam is the general cargo steamship Waldinge (1909) and she has a single masted sailing vessel alongside her forward welldeck. The twin bell towers of the Igreja Paroquial Sao Francisco de Paula can be seen on the right in the Alcantara district of the city.
