The dockyard at Lisbon, Portugal.

The dockyard at Lisbon, Portugal. The photographer is on the Alcantara wharf showing a steam trawler named Santa Barbara Primeiro (fl. 1930) just under way in the Alcantara Dock (Doca de Alcantara). She is seen from off her port quarter. No vessel of this name has been found in Lloyd's Register. A girder bridge is crossing the dock and beyond the bridge is the 3-masted sail training barque Sagres (1896) of the Portuguese Navy. A building on the quay on the right has a sign above the door reading "A.G.P.L. Escritorio das Oficinas". The twin bell towers of the Igreja Paroquial Sao Francisco de Paula can be seen to the right of centre.
