The village of Merok at the head of Geirangerfjord, More og Romsdal, Norway. The photographer is on shore looking south-west across the shore at the head of the fjord. The landing stage is in the centre of the picture and a single storey building on the quayside has S.S. Bayern on it. A single funnelled, 2 masted passenger/cargo coaster is alongside the quay and she is dressed overall. This same ship appears in negative number P93167. A passenger cruise ship tender is also alongside the quay. The Meroks Hotel is in the centre and the Hotel Geiranger is to the left of it.
