The cargo ship Dorothy Luckenbach (1919) in the Gatun Locks on the Panama Canal. The photographer is looking north from the top of the slope between the west and east locks abreast the upper chamber. The ship is seen from off her port bow and is in the west centre chamber being raised to the next level while voyaging south. A mobile crane is on the top of the wall between the west and east locks.
