A dragon boat off Apia, Upolo, Samoa
A multi-oared canoe, commonly called a dragon boat, under way off Apia, Upolu, Samoa. The photographer is on board the Cunard Line passenger cruise ship Franconia (1923) looking seawards at the starboard side of the boat which has a crew of thirty men and is propelled by 26 oars. The boat has a crest on the bow.
