Shipping in the harbour and alongside the breakwater at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife Island, Canary Islands.

Shipping in the harbour and alongside the breakwater at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife Island, Canary Islands. The photographer is looking north-east along the harbour showing a great variety of small craft at moorings in the harbour including rowing boats, lighters, workboats, tugs and schooners. Boat landing steps, a covered shelter, a lighthouse and a building with 'Policia Gubernativa Del Puerto' on it are at the south end of the breakwater. Two masted fruit schooners, passenger vessels and cargo vessels are alongside the breakwater, including the Fred Olsen fruit ship Banaderos (1930) which is halfway along and is seen from off her port quarter. The Anaga mountains are in the background.
