Unknown warships; quarter pieces
Scale: unknown. Two colour-washed sketches of proposed quarter pieces fur an unknown warship.
The left quarter piece is a full-length female figure standing on foliage held up by a two-tailed merman. She is blowing a trumpet held in her left hand, and an ear of wheat in her right.
The right quarter piece is a full-length two-tailed mermaid holding a trident in both hands. Below her is a half-naked female figure standing on the beak and shoulder of an eagle/vulture(?). The bird is standing on a curved scroll, similar to the top of a decorative pillar.
