A port side view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) at anchor in a Norwegian fjord.
A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) at anchor in a Norwegian fjord. Both anchors are deployed, lifeboats 4, 6 and 16 have been launched and seaboat number 2 has been swung out and lowered to boat deck level. An accommodation ladder is rigged to the main deck aft and a boat is alongside it. Members of the ship's crew and some of the passengers are lining the rails on the forecastle and the front of the superstructure to watch a regatta. A clinker built manual lifeboat is under oars in the foreground, manned by passengers under the supervision of two of the ship's crew. The negative is slightly out of focus. Negatives numbers P84420 to P84439 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
