Port near broadside views of the Orient Line cruise ships Orford (1928) and Otranto (1925) anchored in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway.
Port near broadside views, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ships Orford (1928) and Otranto (1925) anchored in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway. The Orford is the nearest ship and she has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder rigged aft. She is emitting smoke from her after funnel. The Otranto also has an accommodation ladder rigged aft. The photographer is in an elevated position ashore looking across the fjord and there are patches of snow on the mountains in the background. The negative is slightly out of focus.
