A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Ranchi (1925) at anchor in Vigo Bay, Spain. She has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships with boats alongside it. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm of her foremast. Her boats are shuttling between the ship and the shore. A 2-masted schooner rigged yacht is at anchor in the right foreground and a coal hulk is in the right background. The negative is slightly out of focus.
