A slightly distant starboard quarter view of one of the manual lifeboats from the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) in tow after the finish of a boat race in Norwegian waters. Four boats took part and each manual lifeboat was crewed by eight male and eight female passengers under the supervision of two of the ship's seamen. This boat has tow lines out ahead and astern and the passengers have tossed their oars. A number of local spectator's boats at the finish and two of these boats are flying the Norwegian flag. A vertical format negative.
