The deck is hung with strings of bunting and flags of the British nations. A large number of children are gathered round a table in the foreground in which six playing cards are laid out. The children place their money on the card they hope is revealed on a poker dice shaken by a man who is wearing a false moustache and has a pair of floral panties on his head. Suspended from the deckhead is a sign promoting the Nevasa Raffle and it is next to the sign for Muster Station F - Collingwood Dormitory.
