The pilot Captain Trowsdale getting on board his motor launch in a British port to be taken out to the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Arcadia (1954). The port has a high stone breakwater and there are two motor fishing vessels alongside the breakwater quay. On the left is a vessel registered BM124 (Brixham). On the right is a boat registered B407 which could be Belfast, Blankenburg or Boulogne. A vertical format image. Transparencies numbers PCT1334 to PCT1336 were taken on the same occasion.
