Boxes of apples being taken on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) while she is at moorings in Portsmouth Harbour. Boy trainees are unloading boxes of Hants & Borders Growers Ltd apples from a harbour motor launch. The apples were presented to the ship by Lord Wolmer, representing the Apple & Pear Development Council. The boxes are being brought aboard on the port side amidships and the photographer is looking down and slightly aft from the deckhouse roof. Negatives numbers PM11725/11 to PM11730/37 were taken on the same occasion.
