A man with a shrimping net walking along the beach near No. 2 Battery, Deal, Kent. He also has a large basket over his shoulder. A few other people are on the sandy beach. In the right background is the remains of the wreck of the steamship Ardoe (1880) which was beached after a collison on 31 January 1898. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
