A full length portrait of an able seaman named 'Frank' taken on board the motor tug Halaib (1980) at sea, while on her delivery voyage from Germany to Sudan. The photographer is standing on the starboard side at the stern looking to port and forward. Frank is wearing a red and blue striped knitted hat, white jumper and black trousers. He is holding a paintbrush in his right hand and a tin of red lead paint is on the deck next to a grey painted electric capstan. This is Slide 14 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer on board the motor tug Halaib (1980) owned by Sea Ports Corporation of Sudan from 26 March 1980 to 18 April 1980. The lecture consists of 23 slides.
