A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume (1979) berthed in Bahrain

A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume (1979) berthed in Bahrain. The photographer is standing on the quayside off the port side of the ship. The hull is hidden by the quay and the bow and stern are out of the picture. The Stothert & Pitt crane at the forecastle break is unloading cargo from the ship to the quayside. Piles of rope, barrels, planks of wood and tarpaulins are on the quayside next to Relume. There is a landmass in the background. This is Slide 24 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer for the delivery of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume (1979) owned by Middle East Navigation Aids Service from 3 May 1979 to 18 June 1979 and then Chief Officer for the delivery of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume I (1952) owned by the same company to the ship breakers yard from 18 June 1979 to 30 June 1979. The lecture consists of 30 slides.
