The cook and Chief Engineer in the galley on board the sand suction dredger Sand Swan (1971) berthed in a unidentified port. According to the Photographer's autobiography the cook is named George, whilst the Chief Engineer is named Frank. The cook is standing next to the sink on the left whilst the chief engineer is sitting on the counter on the right. Both men are looking at the photographer. An unidentified port is visible through the two portholes on the wall. A yellow table and a trolley laden with pots and pans are in the fore ground. This is Slide 14 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as supernumerary Second Officer on board the sand suction dredger Sand Swan (1970) and eventually Chief Officer on the sand suction dredger Sand Skua (1971) owned by the South Coast Shipping Co. Ltd. from 6 May 1973 to 27 June 1973.
