Deal lugger and mizzen punts, sprat boats

The clinker-built Deal punt in this image is shown on chocks on hard standing ashore at Deal, seen from the port bow quarter. The boat's mizzen mast is stepped just to starboard of the centre line, and the main mast rests fore-and-aft on thwarts, the masthead extending over the transom. The boat's stem is almost touching the winch which would be deployed to haul it up the beach.
