The Royal Naval Exhibition at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London in 1891

The Royal Naval Exhibition at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, ran from 2 May to 24 October 1891. This is the main arena and a field gun demonstration is being performed by the resident naval contingent from HM ships Excellent, Vernon and Defiance under the command of Lieutenant Wells. The guns are ready for firing. The buildings are, left to right, the Grandstand, Trafalgar Panorama, P & O kiosk, The George refreshment pavilion, bandstand and the 'Model Working Dairy' of the London & Provincial Dairy Co. A copy negative produced by the NMM Studio of a mounted photographic print contained in Photograph Album No. ALB1386.
