A starboard just off bow view of the spritsail barges Centaur (1895) and Vigilant (1904) taken from the spritsail barge Reminder (1929) on the River Medway off Gillingham, Kent. The photographer is standing on the port side of Reminder looking aft and to starbaord. Vigilant and Centaur are moored along side each other. Vigilant is on the left with Centaur on the right. Both crews are conversing with each and a crewman is on a liberty boat in front of Centaur. This is Slide 8 of a series when Henry P. Bird undertook a cruise on the spritsail barge Reminder (1929). According to the mount, this photograph was taken circa July 1984.
