The erection of a steel trellis radio mast on Horsea Island, Portsmouth.
A wireless mast being erected on Horsea Island, Portsmouth Harbour. A block and tackle has been used to hoist the first vertical girder for the next section to the top of the erection so that two men can bolt it in position. The hoisting rope has been tied off. All of the workmen are looking at the photographer. Projecting bolts in each vertical girder form footsteps. Vertical format.
