On the upper deck of the battleship Nelson (1925) while alongside South Railway Jetty, Portsmouth Dockyard, looking aft and to starboard from the starboard side of B turret. The aft breakwater can be seen on the right. Of note is the slight inward curve of the deck edge at about station 134 showing where the ship was hit by the Cardiff tramp steamer West Wales (1925) off Cape Villano, Spain on 29 Mar. 1931
