A mock up of a 4.7 inch gun well being laid out on the floor of a building in Portsmouth Dockyard. The mock up is to assist in the later construction of the flotilla leader Exmouth (1934) by the Dockyard. Two men are assembling the individual sections watched by a gentleman in an overcoat and trilby. He is standing on a shaped plate that represents the outline of the gun and shield.
