A man demonstrating Siebe Gorman Improved Pattern breathing apparatus in Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
A ¾ length portrait of a man in overalls wearing a breathing apparatus and holding a board on which is written "Siebe gorman Improved Pattern Breathing Apparatus". The apparatus has a flexible corrugated tube fitted to the mouthpiece and it passes through a loop in the waist belt and down his left leg. The bottom of the tube is out of the picture. The man is standing outside a brick building, presumably in Portsmouth Dockyard. Vertical format.
