A starboard quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the afterpart of the light cruiser Aurora (1936) under construction on No. 5 Slip in Portsmouth Dockyard. The hull plating is complete except for a small section of the upper deck from station 156 aft. The ship is almost hidden by the staging surrounding her.
