Camels 1 and 4 in No. 11 Dry Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
Camels 1 and 4 afloat in No. 11 Dry Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, taken from the top of the dock on the south side. Men are on the camels while they are being prepared for positioning over the submarine L19 (1919) which is submerged in the dock. The camels are being used to test the arrangements for salvaging the submarine after explosive trials due to take place in July.
