A bow view of the partly submerged submarine L19 (1919) with 4 Camels afloat in No. 11 Dry Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, taken from the top of the head of the dock looking west. Camels 2 and 3 are over the forepart of L19 while Camels 1 and 4 are over her stern. The L19's conning tower is festooned with hoses. The L19 is being prepared for salvaging after explosive trials due to take place in July. Onlookers are standing on the caisson and the dockside. No. 2 Basin with No. 2 Ship Shop and No. 5 Slip are in the background.
