A study of the presentation launching casket made for the launch of the light cruiser Aurora (1936) by Lady Fisher at Portsmouth Dockyard. The wooden casket is viewed from the right side, is rectangular, stands on four small feet and carved on the right end of the casket is a representation of a four petalled flowered with the date 1936. Attached to each corner is an upright, limbless, bird-headed, winged sea-griffin.
