A close view of a 4 inch gun on its side on the deck of the destroyer Vortigern (1917) in Portsmouth Dockyard. While the gun was being lowered to its mounting on 9 Mar. 1937 it fell on labourer George Henning of West Street, Southsea and killed him. Labourer Charles Ruston was taken to hospital with an injured hand.
