A close detail of the port side of the stern of MTB 01 (see note), lifted out of the water by the MTB depot ship Vulcan (1933) in Portsmouth harbour. The photograph is taken from close to the transom and shows the specially made lifting strop in position under the hull betwwen the rudders and the propeller shafts and the special cable cleat on the rubbing strake.
