A starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the destroyer Nubian (1937) fitted out for rolling trials in No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard. Her starboard boats have been removed and large timber platforms have been erected amidships. Her bow and stern are out of the picture and her pendant number is L36. Beyond her can be seen the funnels of the battlecruiser Renown (1916) which was undergoing reconstruction. The horizon is not level.
