A distant bow view of the destroyer Nubian (1937) fitted out for rolling trials in No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard. She has four mooring lines out at the bow. Large timber platforms have been erected amidships and men are being moved from side to side on the platforms. In this view she has a list to port. In the background the battlecruiser Repulse (1916) is undergouinf a refit in C Lock. The horizon is not quite level.
