Damage to the hull of an aluminium boat for Mr Sims at Dolphin, Gosport, Hampshire

A detail of the aluminium hull of a boat for Mr Sims, photographed on a wooden slip at the Dolphin establishment, Gosport. The boat is tipped onto its starboard side and the photograph shows the port side of the hull aft. There are cracks in the plating at the turn of the hull. The hand of a lieutenant-commander is resting on the boat.
