The battleship Queen Elizabeth (1940) in No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the battleship Queen Elizabeth (1913) undergoing reconstruction alongside the promontory under the 250 ton hammerhead crane in No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard. Canvas is draped over a line running from her bridge face to the front of A turret and also between her after turrets to break up her outline. Her hull is camouflaged with painting resembling a viaduct with buildings between the supports. Her upperworks and turrets are painted in a disruptive pattern.
