A port bow view of the hull of the escort destroyer Westminster (1918) in dry dock in Portsmouth Dockyard, taken from the floor of the dock close to the bow, looking aft. The temporary patching fitted at Dunkirk is still in situ. Her hull below the waterline is badly damaged as a result of striking a wreck at Dunkirk on 20 May 1940. Her pendant number is L40. Her bow and forward upperworks are out of the picture.
