A starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the monitor Erebus (1916) under way at Spithead. She is armed with 6 4-inch QF Mk V guns in zarebas, 4 quadruple 0.5 inch machine guns and two 20 barrel UP rocket mountings. Southsea seafront is in the background. The horizon is not quite level.
