The destroyer Cameron (1919) in No. 8 Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
A port quarter view of the destroyer Cameron (1919) burnt out and capsized to port in No. 8 Dry Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, taken from the top of the dock amidships looking forward. Her starboard side and everything aft of the funnels are out of the picture. The photographer has concentrated on the damage to the top of the dock and the railway line. The Cameron was hit by a bomb during an air raid on 5 Dec. 1940, was bodily moved off the keel blocks and caught fire. The dock was partially flooded by the efforts to extinguish the blaze.
