The 168 ton gunhouse of the 15 inch gun turret of the monitor Marshal Soult (1915) being lifted clear of the barbette of the ship by the floating crane in No. 3 Basin of Portsmouth Dockyard. The gunhouse is suspended from the crane and the photographer is on the deck of the monitor looking up towards its left front face.
