Bow damage to the escort destroyer Bleasdale (1941) in dry dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire

A close view from fine off the starboard bow of the badly damaged forefoot and stem of the escort destroyer Bleasdale (1941), taken from the side wall of the dry dock in Portsmouth Dockyard. Scaffolding and boards have been erected around the stem. The Bleasdale was damaged by a mine off the Nab Tower on 10 Oct. and was taken in hand for repairs 12 Oct to mid Nov. 1942. Vertical format.
