Propeller damage to the destroyer escort Vimy (1917) in dry dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire.

Looking aft along the port side of the destroyer escort Vimy (1917) from alongside the shaft swell in a dry dock in Portsmouth Dockyard. The blades of the propeller are damaged, possibly the result of the Vimy ramming and sinking the German submarine U.162 (1941) near Trinidad 3 Sep. 1942.
